From his early years travelling around Canada honing his skills in kitchens from Victoria to Toronto, to running Calgary restaurants FARM and The Ranche to his latest endeavor, Kelowna's trendy Krafty Kitchen + Bar, Chef Shaften has always been focused on two things; the quality of local products and how cuisine connects people.
A contestant on the hit TV show Top Chef Canada Season 3, Chris’ celebrity status, his passion, and his personality make him a natural for private dining. With charismatic service and a relaxed approach to fine dining, Chris creates experiences in a way that only he can.
After opening Krafty Kitchen + Bar in August 2014, Chef Shaften has been working tirelessly to create his vision of a contemporary Canadian bistro, and with the restaurant now operating with a talented team at the helm, he is once again able and excited to offer his in-home dining service to new and dedicated clientele alike.
